Martel was one of the top heel chiefs of her time in the ace wrestling business. She worked with any semblance of Jake Roberts, Terry Funk, the Honky Tonk Man, Ted DiBiase, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and others.
The Wrestling Observer named her Manager of the Year for 1991. Martel was additionally a prepared in-ring specialist, and she held various titles, most prominently the World Wrestling Federation Women's Championship, all through her renowned vocation.
